milk_thumb Open Central Asia - Summer 2009. After spending a summer in Uzbekistan then returning home to the UK, we learnt that Open Central Asia magazine were interested in publishing the thoughts i recorded on the journey. The article contains my impressions and how they related to my original home town, Baghdad.
mag10 Kheva, a fascinating and certainly romantic place to be in on my wedding anniversary. I was pleased to hear that the Uzbek service of the BBC World Service were interested in publishing on their web site the photographs I’ve taken during my trip. They reported on a number of regional issues and produced a range of articles and were also interested in other photographs I’ve taken in Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand. Below is one the articles released in November 2009.
mag10 Open Central Asia - Spring 2010. Having developed a fascination for the sites, sounds and smell of the Bazaars in Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkand and Kheva, I was tempted to record my thoughts and observation on the significant role of women there.
The article was later published by the Open Central Asia magazine.
mag10 BBC News.  I was honoured to learn that the BBC’s News Channel were interested in creating on their web site a picture article gallery containing my images and thoughts on Uzbekistan’s changing markets. The article was released on Monday, 2 November 2009.
